The Simpsons Showcase

The SimpsonsWhen I became interested in the internet and website design from the age of 13 onwards (back when 56k was a fast connection and screens barely supported 800x600 resolution!) one of my favourite TV shows was The Simpsons so seeing various other Simpsons websites already setup, I chose to create my own. This project lasted a few years and was eventually killed off due to a lack of interest and constant legal threats from FOX to take down some of the content (e.g. pictures and sound clips). At its peak the website was getting 1000-2000 visitors per day, was featured in a number of magazines and linked to by a wide variety of other websites.

Not all of the layout designs shown below were actually used, I have simply chosen a selection of the best ideas. Much of the content from this website has been given to Last Exit to Springfield (www.lardlad.com), which remains one of the best and most popular Simpsons websites on the internet today.
